CGL™ System

Compressed Gas Liquid™, or CGL, is SeaOne’s proprietary and patented non-cryogenic gas solvation technology. CGL combines natural gas and NGLs into one liquid form, allowing for transportation and delivery of both as a single cargo.

With CGL, SeaOne has created an efficient delivery system that blends two supply chains into one. The CGL system incorporates standard gas plant designs on a small land footprint offering both reduced capital and product delivery benefits for our customers.

CGL is produced through the compression of natural gas (methane – C1) and a light hydrocarbon solvent (propane) at a moderate reduction in temperature. CGL consists of the full gas stream (C1 through C6+).

Compared to LNG, which consists mainly of methane (C1) with a HHV in the range of 950 to 1,100 Btu/scf, CGL has a HHV in the range of 1,280 Btu/scf to 2,800 Btu/scf, which provides for a more efficient transport of gas versus other alternatives.

While both CGL and LNG are simply methods of delivering natural gas, there are numerous differences. CGL LNG
